Sahm is well-acquainted with this role, having ridden the BULLS Media e-bike at various Epic Series events for several years. It's particularly noteworthy given that the three-time Absa Cape Epic champion is one of the sport’s most prominent figures. Alongside Thomas Dietsch, Sahm is taking turns covering both the men's and women's races, offering their expert commentary to followers of @swiss_epic on Instagram and sharing their perspectives on the Epic Series YouTube channel.
At the Swiss Epic 2024, the BULLS Media EBike Team will take to the start line with experienced riders Stefan Sahm, Thomas Dietsch. Both Sahm and Dietsch are veterans of the mountain biking world and have already celebrated huge successes with Epic Series events and have been involved with the Absa Cape Epic since 2007. Stefan Sahm’s idea of equipping riders with the latest video technology and having them broadcast from the peleton in a race first debuted at the 2016 Absa Cape Epic, and his credibility with the professional riders offered him access previously denied to moto riders and cameramen. Back then, the BULLS Media Team rode with the BULLS Bike E-Stream EVO. Since then, much has changed, and the bike has undergone continuous development due to the strenuous conditions of professional mountainbike riding. Today, in 2024, the game-changer VUCA EVO AM 2 allows the team, and thus all Swiss Epic race viewers, to be up close to the action. This experience is further enhanced by occasional live commentary from Sahm and Dietsch. For over seven years now, together they have been living their e-MTB future with full energy and enthusiasm, continuing the team BULLS legacy.
In addition to the BULLS Media Team, MTB legend and five-time Cape Epic winner Karl Platt, along with teammate Calle Friberg, will be competing in the UCI Men category. The BULLS Media Team looks forward to the Swiss Epic with great excitement and determination, see you on the trails!
