The FNB Wines2Whales Pinotage is the event that sees the highest number of FNB Wines2Whales first-timers, has the most #SeriousGEES, and is the ONLY event which allows e-bikes.

The FNB Wines2Whales Pinotage is E-Bike friendly!

The Pinotage race features two E-Bike formats and riders can choose between the E-Bike Open category, which starts 30 minutes ahead of A batch, or the E-Bike Tour which starts 30 minutes after the last start batch.

The E-Bike Open is for any team with one, or both, teammates on an e-bike, however these teams must be able to maintain an average speed of at least 18kph.

The E-Bike Tour is for any team where one, or both, teammates are on e-bikes. The Tour is aimed at riders and stage race newbies who would like to enjoy the incredible FNB Wines2Whales route in a friendly, controlled, and guided manner.

E-Bike Open and E-Bike Tour teams will be allowed 1 battery swap per stage.  The E-Bike Battery Swap Service can be purchased with your entry under Option Extras at the cost of R250 per rider. 

The FNB W2W E-Bike Open will feature podiums and leader jerseys for the fastest teams in the following categories:

• E-Bike Open Men (19+)
• E-Bike Open Women (19+)
• E-Bike Open Mixed (19+)
