When it comes to mountain biking, some destinations are unforgettable not just for the challenge they offer on the trails, but for the landscapes, culture, and experiences that surround them. The Epic Series invites riders to explore three truly iconic regions the Adriatic’s Kvarner Islands, the soaring Pyrenees of Andorra, and Switzerland’s Alpine heart in Graubünden each offering a unique playground for adventure, discovery, and pure riding pleasure.

4Islands Epic: The Magic of Kvarner

Croatia’s Kvarner region is where the Adriatic Sea meets rugged mountains, creating a landscape of contrasts that riders can experience at every turn. The 4Islands Epic brings cyclists across Krk, Cres, Lošinj, and Unije, with each island offering its own distinct personality.

Krk serves as the gateway accessible yet full of adventure. Trails wind past karst landscapes, coastal cliffs, and olive groves, offering panoramas like the surreal “Path to the Moon.” Cres feels wilder, a sanctuary for nature lovers with steep climbs and technical trails, set against dramatic cliffs and rare wildlife such as the griffon vulture. Lošinj, known as the Island of Vitality, blends flowing forest paths with coastal trails along the Dolphin Way, where 250 bottlenose dolphins may accompany your ride. For a quieter, more authentic escape, Unije and Susak are car-free islands perfect for reconnecting with nature at your own pace.

Beyond the trails, Kvarner offers a rich cultural and gastronomic experience. Medieval villages, historic towns, fresh seafood, island wines, and aromatic olive oils make each day off the bike as rewarding as the ride itself.
